lauand: (Gojyo - Fuck up)

Well, long time no see! [personal profile] indelicateink  and I were talking some time ago about our willingness to work on some Xover project (Weiß Kreuz meets Ghibli and Saiyuki CLAMP style, respectively), which was also multiplied by the absolute interest in seeing each other's projects done. I'm pretty sure that's extensive to every other author/artist who is interested in working on some crossover project this month, so why not resurrecting the comm? That means that, here we are, with a new challenge for February 2018!

My deficient design skills make the banner look as if the end of February were the end of the World, but do not let that discourage you. Sooooooo... you're very welcome to post on this comm (even if you're not a member and have no interest in becoming one), or post in your own journal and link it here, or just let us know how you want to make public your work here.

Since we mean to be as inclusive as possible, all the works with anything Saiyuki or anything WK are allowed as long as there's some kind of crossover flavor to it. That means, getting intertwined with another fandom. But since there's a pretty wide range of possibilities here (I mean, even Ancient Mesopotamia is a fandom, everything that can be considered a setting can be considered a fandom, I suspect), I think we can consider any possible AU also a possible Xover fic.

Aaaaaand, for the people who are working on their own things that have nothing to do whatsoever with Saiyuki or WK or AUs, and would like to have some sort of social interaction with fellow creators who are also working on something this month, you might want to get in touch with [personal profile] indelicateink  and take part in a little network of creative support this month.

And, well, that's pretty much it. Happy Xover February!

The "past prompts" season is here again! December is always a wonderful month to look back and finish/start/work on these things we would have liked to do but for some reason --usually because RL is evil --didn't.

You can find all the options under the tag "challenges".

And, as always, we're open to suggestions about future prompts :)

Have fun!

Title: Dead Ever After
Characters: Brad Crawford & Schuldig
Content: Humour
Rating: PG / Safe
Summary: The colour of death doesn't match with anything in Schuldig's personality.
Notes: Unexpectedly, the October theme inspired another snippet / continuation to my ficlet Sixth Sense from 2010. O__O (Nothing prevents this from being canon, but eh. Ghosts are not canon, so maybe this will fly.)

Well, and this may surprise you, Schuldig, but it wasn't my idea. )
[identity profile] lauand.livejournal.com
I'm sure you all guess whose fault it is that we're posting October's prompt in the middle of the month. I apologize.

Knowing that Halloween is coming close and we all enjoy celebrating the supernatural this time of the year, here you have the next challenge for this comm:

In case someone is wondering what we mean with such a broad, personal and spiritual subject, here's a small clarification: this is rather a "what comes after death" thing and is in no way limited to the most popular opinions in that respect. The premise is that, well, any number of characters died. Now what. There's some magical resucitation? How and why? They come back as undead of some kind? They go to heaven? They stay as ghosts and annoy their killers? Yohji becomes an angel and Schuldig a devil? Hakkai and Gojyo reincarnate seventy-five times and now they are worms because they managed to fuck it up every time? You get the drill.

Sooooo... have fun and give our dear characters a second chance! We'll be looking forward to the results.

Well, after these sort of summer vacations, we come back with a new prompt courtesy of laurose8, who made the suggestion!

September will be the month for theater, and movies, and acting in general! Of course, voice actors are included. Pornstars, too. Anything related to the amazing world of interpreting a character is welcome (I had some examples because I've been thinking about this, but now that I'm making the post I've forgotten them all, dammit!). In any case, I hope you have fun literally casting your favourite characters into some kind of production (or high school play, or musical theater, or whatever you want) as long as it's related to this particular kind of espectacle.

And, for your inspiration, a pic (I couldn't help it, he's just born to do this):

Aaaaand, following tradition, June is a "past prompts" month again! (And sorry again for the delay. As always, it's entirely my fault!)

Time to catch up with all those awesome ideas we haven't had the time to put on paper/screen/whatever. Yet. Now it's your chance to complete all those projects you have been dying to finish (or start)! Here's a reminder of the possibilities:

Allow me to remind you... )

Feel free to revisit any of them! :)
[identity profile] oracle-dreams.livejournal.com

I wish I had the mojo to write this myself but, in the absence of that, perhaps I can offer this inspiration for someone who may.

This story has always haunted me...

The real games in the Olympic Village will not be televised

Sex in the Olympic village. What happens in the Olympic village stays in the Olympic village. Crawford accidentally setting up the unofficial Olympic brothel. The German team  using that infamous German debauchery to great medal generating effect...

And giving all of them an olympic sport proved to be way too much fun too.

Crawford - you'd think boxing right? I leaned toward fencing, to have him face off against Ran but no, he insisted on Shooting.
Schuldig - he is such a gymnast. I suggested synchronized swimming but he reminded me what chlorine does to his hair...
Nagi - equestrian. He likes animals a whole lot more than people. And he looks right smart in that outfit.
Farf - wrestling. He likes to get up close and personal before wrenching your arm out of the socket.

Aya - fencing. He won't even entertain another idea. He even seems pretty happy with the idea of being an Olympian though.
Omi - archery. Sort of a no brainer there.
Ken - football. Again - made to order. Although his ears perked up at handball for some reason...
Yohji - I wavered back and forth on Yohji. I almost settled on Volleyball but he just doesn't have that 'killer instinct' one needs for volleyball. He felt that badminton was much more his speed.

Anyone feeling it? :)
[identity profile] lauand.livejournal.com
I'm not much into awkward teenagers, but this just happened. Crawford's mother insisted they stood there for a photo. And you just don't say no to Crawford's mother.

      Fandom: Weiß Kreuz
      Characters: Schuldig, Crawford
      Rating: G
      Summary: See above

"Say cheeeeeeeese!" "...Fuck." )
[identity profile] lauand.livejournal.com
We're posting late and, once again, it's entirely my fault, I apologize!

With the arrival of nice weather and longer days, there must also come some flexing of muscles and sweat and lovely bodies being put to good use! No, I'm not talking about sex (although that's also a nice idea), I'm talking about our next prompt:

(Oh, Turkish wrestling, I love you so...)

I have this crazy mental image of Crawford and Schuldig being deadly rivalling golfists, and maybe Hakkai practicing some obscure ski-hunting discipline. Aya and Yohji as lumberjacks would also be hilarious, especially if someone forces Yohji to wear a franel shirt. Of course, football and basketball and any other normal sport is also welcome. A hockey match between the Sanzo-ikkou and the Kougaiji-tachi would be also wonderful to see. In brief, just let the creative juices flow and post whatever you like.

Aya brought his sword down cleanly; the vile beast WeiĂź had been hunting fell, an expression of shock on her face.

"Why's he always so fast?" Yohji groused. "We never get any time with them since he joined."

"At least we'll be back in time for the match," Ken shrugged. "If you're that desperate, ask Omi to arrange a brothel pass for you."

"Let's go," Aya said. "Omi?" he said, "Mission accomplished, over."

"One more, sorry," Omi's voice crackled in his ear. "The Tomoe girl gave intel to her friend."

Aya cleaned his sword, sighing. No rest for the wicked.

So I realize I'm kind of late to the party, but oh well.

The prompt that caught my eye, verbatim:

AU: Nazi-Germany-Creates-Psychic-Agents AU
Fandom: WK/Milkweed Crossover
Pairing: none needed!
Prompt: Schwarz must survive being hunted by both German agents looking for real psychics and by British warlocks. Oh, and by the vast non-Euclidean malign forces seeking to infiltrate time and space. (Ian Tregillis's Milkweed trilogy will be finished this year. The first book, Bitter Seeds is set before and during the war, and the second, The Coldest War, during the Cold War. It's like a rather marvellous AU of Schwarz all by itself).

So I went and read the books and was flabbergasted by the awesome (and am dismayed that the third book isn't out yet!) I wanted to do so much more, but it hasn't happened yet.

Anyway, on to the goods!

Fandom: Weiss
Title: Bitter Schwartz
Rating: PG-13, I think?
Summary: Weiss reimagined through a Milkweed lens. Kind of.

Bitter Schwartz and its attendant notes found here, listed in this post as Thing 1.

So our Weiss Kreuz and Saiyuki characters have their fair share of angst in canon, right?

WHAT IF IT WERE WORSE.

This month's challenge is something we're calling Dark Mirrorverse. Think of it as a parallel universe of canon in which things are reimagined... darker.

You can make it a hellverse; you can have a Shangri-La long ago abandoned by heaven; you can create an AU in which Grandpa Takatori had an early fall from grace that impoverished the family and created a catastrophic vacuum of power in Tokyo. You can be nicely cynical and make possibly nice canon changes (Kanan lives! Koumyou lives! Ouka lives! Asuka lives! Gojyo's parents don't abandon him! Rosenkreuz is delightful!) into events that actually make life in this universe a whole hell of a lot darker than it turned out in canon. YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. (You can even have a happy ending if you want; if anyone knows how to be happy in hell, it's our guys.)

Have fun.

Some examples to consider: the Mirror Universe from the original Star Trek; the dark parallel universe referenced in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Doppelgangland; The Wish). (I'm sure there are tons of dark parallel reality stories out there.) Feel free to ask questions if you have 'em!

First of all, I would like to remind you that posting late is permitted and encouraged, because there are still tons of delectable prompts unfilled from last month's fest and I would very much love to see some of them done. So don't be shy, post away if you have something done/in the making!

And for those of you who are looking forward to a new challenge, here's March's prompt!

(I should have totally edited the number to 3589, dammit)

Police, detectives, FBI, the Japanese Self-defense Forces... whatever strikes your fancy will be fine. Because I'm dying to draw some FBI!Crawford clashing with Detective!Schuldig over the investigation of a certain white haired psychopath, or maybe a special unit directed by Persia (this time legally) with Aya as a leader, allowing those dark beasts their tomorrow, only in jail, or a humble policeman!Gojyo helping an injured, mysterious man without knowing his captain!Sanzo has been ordered to capture him... the possibilities are endless!!

So, we will be looking forward to your entries!

Title: A Simple Job
Fandom: Saiyuki
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: none
Prompt: Yakuza enforcer Gojyo is assigned to shake down powerful, wealthy businessman/politician Hakkai, who has been breaking promises to former yakuza allies. Gojyo quickly finds himself out of his depth.

Summary: Break, enter, deliver a message. Why do the simple jobs never go as planned when you're working for the mob?

A/N: Kenren, Tenpou and a brief appearance by the some of the Ants (and a slightly random Saiyuki character crossover), all wrapped up in a little upper-class gangster AU which is not as action packed as I'd maybe imagined it to be. It also sadly lacks the porn. But there is perhaps some flirting! If you count bruises and rope burn. Deepest apologies to the prompter - this really didn't know what it wanted to be or where it wanted to go, and I managed to pretty much nail none of your requests in the process (is so ashamed). And I'm late, so that's a hat-trick T___T

When they wanted heads cracked and knees broken, they didn’t call Kenren. )
